Road traffic collision at Drumkeen leads to diversions and delays on N13

Motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary journeys or to take alternative routes

Three men have been hospitalised following a three-vehicle road traffic collision in Drumkeen on Sunday afternoon.

The collision took place at 3.10pm and involved a bus, a van and a car. Emergency services attended the scene.

A garda spokesperson said: "Three males have been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time."

The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.

"No further information is available at this time," said the spokesperson. "Investigations are ongoing."

The road is expected to reopen shortly.

Meanwhile, otorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to avoid unnecessary travel in the area, especially given the icy conditions particularly on back roads.
