Gardaí have re-issued an appeal relating to a hit-and-run that occurred in Ardaravan Square
Gardaí in Buncrana have re-issued an appeal in relation to a road traffic collision that occurred in the area of Ardaravan Square, Buncrana.
A young female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and she sustained injuries although none were life-threatening in nature.
It is believed that the driver may have stopped at the scene for a short time but then left again. The vehicle has been described as being a dark-coloured saloon, possibly an Audi.
The incident took place on Monday, December 18 between 4:30pm and 5pm.
“If anybody witnessed the incident we ask them to make contact with gardaí,” Garda Grainne Doherty said.
“We do believe that there were witnesses to this incident as the area was very busy at the time.
“If anybody travelled in that area who had a dash cam we ask them to make the footage available to us.
