Mother of four Patrice McCrossan is battling leukemia
A fundraiser has been launched to help a young St Johnston another-of-four who is battling leukemia.
Last Friday, Patrice McCrossan, née Rodgers, received the shocking news that she was diagnosed wth acute myeloid leukemia.
Patrice was transferred to Galway on Sunday to receive treatment and undergo further tests.
The 32-year-old is a another to four children, aged between nine years and seven months.
Her friend Kirsty Curran has launched a GoFundMe to aid Patrice and her family, who have rallied around.
Over €13,000 has been raised so far and you can donate by clicking here.
“She has a strong head but a long road ahead of her,” Kirsty said.
“She is starting four weeks daily chemo and undergoing a lot of tests.
“A little donation just to help with kids and expenses of family travelling back and forth to be at her side and that they don't have the burden of worrying about money on top of everything they are going through.”
Each donation to the GoFundMe page will be put in together and there will be prizes on offer
