Lough Eske Castle, a secluded lakeside estate the outskirts of Donegal Town
Lough Eske Castle has received bronze at the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards in the Top Three Five Star Spas category.
The Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Award recognises excellence in the hospitality industry. Lough Eske Castle is the only five-star hotel in the county and last year they opened Cara Organic Spa.
The newly opened spa received bronze on the list and was listed among the crème de la crème of five-star spas in Ireland. Cara Organic Spa is a luxury experience that offers an array of treatments and a thermal spa that hosts a heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and ice fountain.

The gold winner in the spa category was Ashford Castle in Mayo, which has previously been listed as ‘Ireland’s Best Spa’ and the silver recipient was Dromoland Castle Hotel, Clare, boasting the Castle Spa.
This year, the event was held at the Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway, which made the list of Top Four Star Spas In Ireland. Broadcaster Anton Savage hosted the awards and it was the 34th year of Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards.
