Brave swimmers at last year's polar plunge in Rathmullan
The annual Rathmullan Polar Plunge has announced it will take place this coming Saturday, February 17.
The event was postponed in December, following the announcement of a status orange weather warning, but will form part of an action-packed day this day week.
The long-running, popular event involves jumping into the refreshing winter waters of the Swilly in support of the amazing athletes and programmes of Special Olympics. Individuals and groups are encouraged to sign up for the event and begin fundraising to get Freezin’ for a Reason!
Special Olympics Ireland’s charity partners Gala Retail are sponsors for the event, and the activities organised to support the Polar Plunge Rathmullan are funded by the International Fund for Ireland under the Communities in Partnership Programme.
