Singer-songwriter Muireann Bradley won the Ticketmaster Ireland’s Rising Star of 2024 award.
This is the first music award the 17-year-old blues star has received. The Ticketmaster Awards celebrate the best of live music giving listeners the chance to support their favourite artists through a public vote.
Muireann’s contenders for the award were Big Sleep, Leo Miyagee, Really Good Time, The Cope and Saibh Skelly.
Ballybofey native Muireann's rising stardom is evident, following her performance of Candyman on BBC's Jools' Holland’s Annual Hootenanny on New Year’s Eve and her The Late Late Show debut with When The Levee Breaks.
As well as that, she is in high demand with various upcoming live shows, some of which sold out in minutes such as her debut gig in her hometown due to take place in The Balor Arts Centre, Ballybofey on June 22.
The Balor date is one of 16 live shows that Muireann will perform at this year with shows across Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands. On the tour, Muireann will perform her debut album titled ‘I Kept These Old Blues,’ which previously reached number one on the iTunes chart.
