Another Donegal business has succumbed to the impossible cost of doing business.

Owners of Kelly's Kitchen based in Sliabh Liag Lodge, Carrick have announced that they are closing. However, there is some positive news in that outside catering will continue, and the owners will operate from a café in Glencolmcille.

Ann Marie from Kelly's Kitchen took to Facebook to share the difficult news.

She said: "It's with a heavy heart that we have to inform all our loyal customers, staff and suppliers that due to the increasing costs of produce, esb, gas, rates, vat etc etc the list goes on that we have taken the decision to close Kelly's Kitchen at Sliabh League Lodge as of April 1.

"Anyone with vouchers can be redeemed or used towards outside catering.

"It is not the end of Kelly's; we will be opening the café in Glencolmcille in the coming months and will be continuing on with the outside catering so please contact me if you have any parties.

"I would like to thank the 40 plus loyal staff that have been employed with me since March 2019 each and every one of you were absolutely brilliant and to wish you all the very best for the future.

"A huge thank you to Noel and Anna for approaching myself and John and giving us the opportunity we had some challenges along the way but mostly good days, good fun and happy times.

"To Paul and the staff at the Sliabh League Lodge, thank you all. You were a great help and support during the years. Also to Mandy, family and friends for your support, encouragement and friendship, thank you.

"Again thank you to everyone, Ann Marie."
