Six people have been arrested over the weekend by Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit on suspicion of drug driving.

As well as conducting general roads policing duties, An Garda Siochana arrested six people on suspicion of drug driving in less than 48 hours with cocaine being the most prevalent drug detected.

The weekend is not over yet and Gardaí will continue to conduct their checkpoints and patrols.

“We urge all drivers not to risk their life and the lives of others by driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” they warned. “One foolish decision made could have tragic and irreversible consequences.”
