Moville Community College Parents Association has launched its 50/50 fundraising campaign with the aim of raising crucial funds to enhance opportunities for all students attending the school.

Moville Community College Parents Association is embarking on this fundraising initiative to further enrich the educational experience of the students by raising money for resources.

The 50/50 Fundraising Campaign operates on a simple yet impactful premise: half of all funds raised will go directly towards educational resources with the remaining half going to not one but 20 winners in the school year. The draw will be held fortnightly in the school.

Principal Caroline Doherty expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign. “At Moville Community College, we are committed to providing our students with the best possible educational experience. By investing in our students and our facilities, we aim to create an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and personally. We are grateful for the continued support of the parents in this fundraising initiative but also to the local businesses, in particular Gillens’ shop who have kindly sponsored the envelopes.”

Brigeen Peto of the parents association hopes that both the parents and the local community will get behind the fundraiser: “The raffle is open to everyone, not just to parents of students at the college. This was why we decided to open it out to the local community so that they too could purchase tickets in the local shops. The new Parents Association have been working extremely hard on this initiative and we hope it will bring much-needed funds to support all students, and a boost to local families – over €500 has already been won in the first draw.”

Tickets for the 50/50 Fundraising Campaign can be purchased online through the link and are also available in Gillen’s Supermarket, Norries Coffee Shop, Moville and Greencastle post offices and the school.
