Major refurbishment work at Rathmullan Pier will see the facility closed for the summer and beyond.
However, access to the slipway and ferry will be available.
Work is planned to begin on Monday, April 8 and to be completed by November.
A spokesperson for Donegal County Council said: “These works are essential to secure the future of the pier and safety of all the pier users.
“The project will put the pier out of use for the construction period.
“Access to the slipway and ferry service will be maintained under traffic management.
“We appreciate your understanding and support for the essential works to be carried out.”
