A man has appeared in court charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a Donegal pub.
The man, who is in his 50s, cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim.
The accused appeared at Letterkenny District Court where the court was told that a book of evidence had been served on the accused.
He is charged with sexually assaulting a woman at the bar in February, 2003.
The charge is contrary to Section 2 of the Criminal Law (Rape Amendment Act 1990), as amended by Section 37 of the Sex Offenders Act 2001.
Garda Sergeant Gerard Dalton said the Director of Public Prosecutions had agreed to send the matter forward for trial to the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court on April 24th.
Solicitor, Mr Rory O'Brien, standing in for the accused man's solicitor, Mr Patsy Gallagher, asked for two counsel.
The case was adjourned for the man to appear at Letterkenny Circuit Court on April 24th.
Judge Eiteain Cunningham ordered that a publication order continue at present
