‘Ultimate Sunday of music’ announced for Donegal Town Summer Festival

Onóir, Derek Ryan, All Folk’d Up and Seeger Sessions Revival among the acts announced for Sunday, with more big names to be added

Derek Ryan headlines as live music returns to Derry

With Donegal Town celebrating its 550th birthday, this year’s festival is shaping up to be the biggest festival to date. 

The festival takes place over the last weekend in June, running from Friday to Sunday, June 28 to 30. With a new location at the pier and a fantastic line-up, this looks set to be one of the most exciting weekends of the summer. 

With promises of big names acts to be announced for the Friday and Saturday, the line-up has already been revealed for what is being hailed as ‘the ultimate Sunday of Music.

Seeger Sessions Revival

A spokesperson for Donegal Town Summer Festival said: “Get ready to experience the magic of Bruce Springsteen's legendary Seeger Sessions brought to life by The Seeger Sessions Revival at this year's festival.

“These talented musicians will revive the spirit and energy of Springsteen's iconic sessions, delivering a performance that will have you singing and dancing along all evening long. 

“Don't miss out on this incredible tribute to one of music's greatest legends!”

The spokesperson said: Get ready to jive the night away to all your favourite tunes as he lights up the stage with what promises to be a spectacular show.

“This is a Sunday you won't want to miss!

All Folk’d Up

“Reworking old Irish folk and traditional songs with an up tempo modern twist, “ said the spokesperson.

“The craic is sure to be 90, adding a vibrant and lively energy to Sunday's lineup.”

Onóir

“Selling out shows within minutes all over the country, prepare to be blown away by the mesmerising harmonies of Onóir,” continued the festival spokesperson.

“Join us for an unforgettable experience as Onóir serenades the crowd with their captivating harmonies and expert musical arrangements.

Tickets are available at eventbrite.ie with day and weekend passes available and a reduced rate for under 16s.
