The Community Hospital features 52 long-stay beds, 20 short-stay beds providing convalescence, rehabilitation, respite and palliative care beds, eight dementia-specific assessment beds and a Day Hospital Service

Official opening of Ballyshannon Community Hospital to take place this week

Ballyshannon Community Hospital is based at College Street

The Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People Mary Butler, TD, will officially open the new Ballyshannon Community Hospital this week.

The €36.7 million facility, located at the old Sheil Hospital site in Ballyshannon. The Community Hospital features 52 long-stay beds, 20 short-stay beds providing convalescence, rehabilitation, respite and palliative care beds, eight dementia-specific assessment beds and a Day Hospital Service.

The opening will take place on Friday, April 26, at 10:30am at Ballyshannon Community Hospital, College Street, Ballyshannon.
