There is deep sadness at the death of Little Blue Hero, Eoin Arnold from Inver.

Described in his obituary notice as a ‘brave, beautiful little boy, Eoin Athony Arnold of Meenacahan, Frosses passed away peacefully at his home at the weekend. 

The notice continues: “Eoin was surrounded, as he has been throughout his illness, by the love, care and devotion of his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, the prayers and goodwill of the communities and by his nurses.”

Eoin was an Honorary Garda under the Little Blue Heroes programme.

An Garda Síochána Donegal issued a tribute saying: “Our hearts are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our Honorary Garda Eoin Arnold (HG 474) from Inver.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents, Paul and Orla, his big brother Jamie, and his extended family. 

“Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Our little colleague, our good friend and our hero forever. 

“Rest in peace Eoin. Rest with the angels.”

Reposal of Eoin's remains continues at the family home Meenacahan, Inver, F94 T6N9, on Monday from 11am to 10pm, walk through only. The house is private at all other times.

Mass of Angels takes place on Tuesday at 11am in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Eoin’s funeral Mass can be live streamed on https://www.mcn.live/camera/st-marys-frosses-inver

Family flowers only; if so desired, donations can be made to to Jack and Jill Foundation in Eoin’s memory. ‎
