Two males fled early-morning taxi in Twin Towns

Gardaí are appealing following a theft incident in Stranorlar.

Two young men, aged in their early 20s, got a taxi from Letterkenny to the Twin Towns and when the taxi stopped at the bridge between Ballybofey and Stranorlar they got out and fled on foot towards Stranorlar without paying the fare.

The taxi arrived and the individuals fled at approximately 8:35am on Friday, May 3.

“We appeal to anybody who may have been in the area with a dash cam to make the footage available to gardaí,” Garda Claire Rafferty said. “The streets would have been relatively empty at that time of the morning so it would have been easy to spot these two men on foot and so we ask anybody who may have seen them to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.”
