Man spotted peeping in window at the crack of dawn before fleeing

A suspiciously dressed man who was looking in the window of a house early one morning is of interest to local gardaí.

As the house resident got up early and turned on the outside lights, the man outside - who was wearing dark clothing, gloves and with his hood up - was to be seen looking in the side window of the house and took off on foot immediately.  From viewing CCTV it was clear he was trying to open the front door.

The incident happened at a house in the area of Tooban Upper, Burnfoot on Monday, May 13 at approximately 4:55am.

“No entry was gained and nothing was stolen,” Shaun Sweeney said. “If anybody travelled in that area early on Monday morning and if they had a dash cam we ask them to make the footage available to us. If anybody observed any suspicious activity in the area of Tooban Upper that morning we would like to hear from them. Gardaí in Buncrana may be reached on 074-9320540.”
