Sergeant Fergus McGroary has been appointed as the Donegal Divisional Crime Prevention Officer.

Originally from Drimarone near Donegal Town, Sergeant McGroary has been in charge of the Milford Garda station for the past eleven years. During his time he has served in Glenties, Bunbeg, Dun Laoire, Carrick and Letterkenny Garda Stations.

Sergeant McGroary will now be stationed at Letterkenny Garda Station again to fulfill the crime prevention role. Crime Prevention Officers are trained to promote and advise on crime prevention techniques in both the private and public spheres.
