Witness appeal as four hospitalised in Burnfoot crash

The driver and three passengers were taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious but non-life threatening injuries following a single-vehicle collision near Burnfoot

Four people were hospitalised after a single-vehicle collision in Burnfoot on Friday evening.

The collision occurred in the area of Drumadooey, Burnfoot on the R239 road.

The car in question was travelling from Muff towards Burnfoot when the collision occurred.

The driver and three passengers were taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí in Buncrana are appealing for witnesses.

A spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have travelled on that stretch of road with a dash cam on that date to make the footage available to Gardaí.

“Any relevant information should be passed to Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.”
