Liquidator appointed to Ballyshannon's Creevy Pier Hotel

A liquidator has been appointed to the Creevy Pier Hotel

The High Court has appointed a liquidator to the Creevy Pier Hotel after a petition was presented requesting the winding up of the company. 

MCBFG Woodberry Leisure Limited has a registered office at Creevy Pier Hotel, Glebe, Ballyshannon. According to a notice published in the Donegal Democrat, the petition for winding up the company was presented in the High Court by Jim McBride, a member and a creditor and Christopher McBride, a member of the Company. This took place on May 10, 2024.

By Order of the High Court made on May 13, Mr John Healy, of Kirby Healy Chartered Accountants, of 3 Fitzwilliam Court, Pembroke Street, Upper, Dublin 2  was appointed Provisional Liquidator of the Company.

The Petition is directed to be heard before the High Court on Monday, June 17 June 2024 at 10.30am. 

According to the public notice: “Any Creditor or Contributory of the Company who wishes to support or oppose the making of an Order on the said Petition may appear at the time of hearing by himself or his Counsel for that purpose, and a copy of the Petition will be furnished to any Creditor or Contributory of the said Company who requires it by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.”

Anyone intending to appear at the hearing must serve on or send by post to the above-named Petitioners or Hunter & Company, Solicitors for the Petitioners, 57 Dame Street, Dublin 2, writing of his intention to do so. The notice must state the name and address of the person or, if a firm, the name and address of the firm, and must be signed by the person of firm, or their Solicitor, (if any). 

The notice must be served, or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named Solicitor or the Petitioners not later than 5pm on Friday, June 14.
