Alma Kavanagh named as new principal of Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál, Letterkenny

A native of Letterkenny, Ms Kavanagh  is the current principal of St Joseph’s National School Rathmullan and was previously in charge at Scoil Chaitríona National School in Ballyshannon

Alam Kavanagh will take over at Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál, Letterkenny

Alma Kavanagh will take over from Irene Simmons as the new principal of  Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál in Letterkenny.

A native of Letterkenny, Ms Kavanagh is the current principal of St Joseph’s National School Rathmullan and was previously in charge at Scoil Chaitríona National School in Ballyshannon.

A former player and current member of St Eunan's GAA club, she is the daughter of Charlie and Agnes, with the family living at Oaklands Park in Letterkenny. Ms Kavanagh is married to Seamus Curran.

St Eunan's GAA club posted: "Congratulations to Alma Kavanagh who is the new Principal of Scoil Mhuire gan Smal. Alma has been a long-time committee member of St Eunan's. We wish Alma the very best in her new role."

"Congratulations to my talented niece Alma the new principal of Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál, Letterkenny," her uncle, local councillor Jimmy Kavanagh, posted. "Well done indeed and every success and good wish in the new role."
