A proud Alessandro Cian and Micheál Keown with their awards
Alessandro Cian and Micheál Keown from Colaiste Cholmcille in Ballyshannon have won the RSC Schools Analyst Competition 2024 in the Republic of Ireland.
All fifth year Chemistry students were tasked with carrying out three separate analytical laboratory techniques, recording their results and submitting their analysis of the results to the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) for grading.
Alessandro and Micheál were awarded the highest score and have been crowned the Schools Analyst Competition Republic of Ireland champions for 2024.
Their teachers, Ms Carroll and Ms. Conlon are very proud of their accomplishment and it is well deserved as these students worked diligently for three weeks to complete the activities to the highest degree of accuracy and precision, the school said.
