A man was seen flaunting a Donegal jersey at the Dublin-New York portal, in a recently shared clip.

The video shared by Ballyshannon Shoe Company is captioned “Is this the first Donegal jersey to be seen at the Dublin to New York portal? Keep the Donegal flag flying!”. The Donegal supporter is Gus Culkin who works at the sports section at Ballyshannon Shoe Company. You can watch here

A fitting weekend as Donegal is set to clash with Cork in the second round of the All-Ireland SFC Group 3 tomorrow at Pairc Uí Rinn, throw-in 2:30pm. On Sunday, Donegal will be live in the Nickey Rackard Cup final, with the Croke Park clash against Mayo. 

The virtual portal which was opened in May at locations in Dublin and New York has attracted a flurry of interest. The Portal is located at Flatiron South Public Plaza in New York and O'Connell Street in Dublin.

Benediktas Gylys, a Lithuanian artist created The Portal which uses two 24-hour live-streaming screens to facilitate individuals to interact with each other in different locations. The first of its kind was created in May 2021 and it linked Lithuania to Poland, the Dublin Portal is the fourth of its kind to be unveiled.
