Live Updates: All the latest from the local elections in Donegal

11:21am - Murray and Beard are followed in the Buncrana tally, by Terry Crossan of Sinn Féin, in third, with  Fionán Bradley, Sinn Féin, in fourth and then Paul Canning of Fianna Fáil in fifth. Kim McMemamin of The Irish People is in sixth place at present in the Buncrana boxes, which have just finished.

10:39am - The Buncrana boxes are the first being opened here and so far it's Joy Beard and Jack Murray, who look promising for first-count elections with 17,316 Buncrana LEA votes tallied.

Twelve candidates are contesting five seats in Buncrana.

Sitting councillors Jack Murray (Sinn Féin), Terry Crossan (Sinn Féin) and Paul Canning (Fianna Fáil) are contesting the local electoral area (LEA) which forms part of the Inishowen Municipal District.

Candidates: Joy Beard, Buncrana, 100% Redress; Eamon McGee, Convoy, non-party; Adrian McMyler, Buncrana, non-party; Jack Murray, Buncrana, Sinn Féin; Niamh McGuinness, Bridgend, Sinn Féin; Terry Crossan, Aught, Sinn Féin; Peter McLaughlin, Buncrana, Fine Gael; Jason Le Masurier, Buncrana, Green Party; Kim McMenamin, Buncrana, The Irish People; Fionán Bradley, Buncrana, Fianna Fáil; Paul Canning, Manorcunningham, Fianna Fáil; Liam Mulligan, Letterkenny, Aontú.
