Ballot papers being checked ahead of counting
There is a buzz of activity in the St John Bosco Centre, Donegal Town as the count moves to the next stage.
Separation of votes is complete for the Donegal LEA, and ballot papers are being checked for validity ahead of counting getting underway.
Candidate's teams at the count centre are limited to five people, and they are all paying very close attention to the ballot papers in an effort to determine the eventual outcome.
The first count result is expected by around 2pm.
