Cllr Micheál Naughton (FF) topped the poll in the Donegal LEA, securing 1,847 first preference votes.
The quota of 1,985 was not reached, therefore the lowest polling candidate - John Molloy, The Irish Party - was eliminated, having secured 140 votes.
Cllr Noel Jordan (SF) is sitting in second place on 1,580, with his party colleague Michael McMahon in third on 1,484.
Currently in fourth is Jimmy Brogan (Ind) 1,356; followed by Pauric Kennedy (Ind) on 1,324; Cllr Barry Sweeny (FG) on 1,281; Manus Boyle, Fine Gael on 1,247; and Cllr Niamh Kennedy on 1,102.
Martin Hegarty (FF) secured 776 votes; Diarmaid Doherty (Ind), 498; Linda Boyle (SF), 462; Claudia Kennedy (FF), 301; Patrick Brogan (Aontu), 280; and Derek Vial (Ind) 184.
