Local Elections: Third count complete in Donegal LEA and quota not yet reached

Fianna Fáil Candidate Claudia Kennedy has been eliminated following the third count in Donegal Town.

Cllr Micheál Naughton (FF) remains atop the poll as the count continues in the St John Bosco Centre. With no transfers from his party colleague, he remains at 1,851 votes, still shy of the quota of 1,985. 

Cllr Noel Jordan (SF) remains in second place with his vote increased to 1,593. His party colleague Michael McMahon remains in third on 1,505.

Still in fourth is Jimmy Brogan (Ind) 1,398; followed by Pauric Kennedy (Ind) on 1,346. 

Fine Gael's Manus Boyle with 1,292 has pulled ahead of his party colleague, Cllr Barry Sweeny who remains on 1,286.

Cllr Niamh Kennedy gained 58 votes in the third count and is on 1,117.

Martin Hegarty (FF) is now on 785; Diarmaid Doherty (Ind), is up to 521; Linda Boyle (SF) increased to 494.
