Local Elections: Cllr Noel Jordan (SF) elected on Count 10 in Donegal LEA

Sinn Féin's Cllr Noel Jordan is re-elected in Donegal LEA

Cllr Noel Jordan (SF) has become the second councillor to be elected to the Donegal LEA as the count continues in the St John Bosco Centre, Donegal Town.

Elected on the tentn count, he joins poll topper Cllr Micheál Naughton (FF) in retaining his seat in Donegal County Council.

Cllr Jordan's surplus of 367 votes to transfer could well decide most or indeed all of the remaining four seats, with five candidates still in the running.

Independent candidate JImmy Brogan has moved into third place with 1,950 votes.

Niamh Kennedy is in fourth on 1,941, with Sinn Féin's Cllr Michael McMahon is in fifth on 1,895.

Manus Boyle (FG)  is on 1,708 and his party colleague Barry Sweeny has 1,519 and looks set to lose his seat.
