Kevin Bradley has been eliminated following count 12 at the Letterkenny LEA.

On a day of two recounts at the Aura Centre in Letterkenny, the independent outgoing councillor's 1,008 will be distributed among the remaining candidates.

Today's first recount, requested by Mary T Sweeney, saw her move from five votes behind Bradley last night to five in front. The amended figures took Bradley to 1,008 and Sweeney to 1,013, with the quota at 1,629.

So the revised totals for count 12 saw Bradley go onto 1,008, Ciaran Brogan got two for a 1,621 total, Donegal Coyle is now 1,116; Jimmy Kavanagh moves onto 1,525; Michael McBride is at 1,388 and Sweeney is 1,013,  with the quota at 1,629.

The five will now fight it out for the last four seats. Donal Mandy Kelly was elected on the first count on Sunday and was followed in the second and third seats by Gerry McMonagle and Tomás Seán Devine respectively.
