The award-winning team at the St Vincent de Paul charity shop in Donegal Town
The hard-working team at the St Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop in Donegal have been awarded for their excellence and commitment.
They were named as regional winners of the Vincents Team of the Year 2023 at the recent awards ceremony in Cork.
A spokesperson said: “We are very proud to announce that our shop in Water Street, Donegal Town was the Regional Winner of the Vincents Team of the Year 2023 Award presented at the Annual SVP Retail Conference in Cork on June 6.
“This is in recognition of the ongoing success of the shop, which goes from strength to strength and its impact and value to the local community.
“The award recognises the huge commitment of the team of volunteers and staff. Much to the delight of all involved and on behalf of the team, the presentation was made in Cork to Mary Quinn, Senior Volunteer and Miriam Finnegan, President Donegal Town Conference.”
The shop in Water Street, Donegal Town is one of the longest established charity stores in the area, and has been providing a fantastic service to the community for many years. As well as helping those in need to buy clothes, books and household items at a low cost, money raised is used to support people who are struggling financially across the community.
It is also a great resource for those who like to find their own style with something a little different than the sameness of high street trends.
And with an award-winning team of staff and volunteers on hand to help, it is well worth a visit.
