A BMW 7 Series
A west Donegal man has pleaded guilty to stealing a top-of-the-range BMW 7 Series.
John Harding, aged 56, appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to a single charge under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.
Harding, with an address at The Riverhouse, Gweedore Road, Dungloe, only spoke to plead guilty to the charge.
He is charged on July 16, 2019, at an address within the State, that he did steal property, to wit a BMW 7 Series to the value of £65,640 (€77,656), the property of BMW Financial Services.
The court heard that Harding has no previous convictions.
No details of the incident were given in court.
The accused man's barrister, Mr Peter Nolan BL, requested a probation and welfare report for his client, saying the court may take a certain view after reading such a report.
Judge John Aylmer agreed to the request, asking that the report include an assessment on Harding's suitability for community service.
Judge Aylmer adjourned final sentencing until the next session of the Circuit Court.
