Comedian Black Paddy was in the north-west for the Donegal International Rally last weekend
Comedian Black Paddy has spoken out after a racist comment was published on the video of his Donegal International Rally experience.
The entertainer - who is also known as Fabu-D - described the comment as "truly disheartening" and said, "All I am trying to do in this video is have fun, so please refrain from leaving hateful comments on my video, it hurt to read."
The offending comment is believed to have been removed by Fabu-D - who was contacted by Donegal Live - and its content is unknown.
Fabu-D visited Letterkenny over the weekend to experience rally culture, and thrilled fans with his funny character skits and interviews.
Hundreds of people in cars were featured in the video - posted on his official Facebook page on Monday - which has been viewed over 340,000 times.
He called the experience in Letterkenny "amazing" and praised The Orchard, the Guinness and the local food.
Over 300 people left comments under the video, the vast majority of which were positive.
However, some negative comments were also published, though these mostly criticised the lack of actual rallying in the video.
Many fans sent messages of encouragement, with one Facebook user commenting, "Yes Paddy. Keep going lad, good vibes as always, sod the haters. Pure jealous that's all, it must hurt them."
Another wrote, "Omg the amount of pure bitterness towards him in the comments, pure jealousy… keep being you Fabu-D you make people smile anywhere you go and that’s something special."
One critic commented, "Didn't see any part of the Donegal Rally in this video. Not one stage, not one rally driver. Just a bunch of young ones driving around in noisy cars. That's nothing to do with the rally and I wouldn't advertise it as so. But as long as everyone had a fun time that's good."
