Green light given for 42 new houses in Ballybofey

Planning permission has been granted for the construction of 42 new houses at a Ballybofey housing estate.

Donegal County Council has given conditional planning permission to Longmarsh Developments Ltd for works at The Beeches, Navenny, Ballybofey.

The green light, subject to 30 conditions, has been given to two separate planning applications in respect of the estate.

One application provides for the construction of eight new dwellings with the other comprising 34 new houses.

Each provides for connection to existing services and foul and storm sewers.

Among the conditions attached is that the houses are to be used as permanent homes only and are not to be used as holiday homes.

Each plot is to be wired and prepared with cables to enable future charging of electric motor vehicles.

Construction hours are restricted to 8am-6pm from Mondays-Fridays, 9am-4pm on Saturdays and not at all on Sundays or bank holidays.

The entire estate service road is to be completed with a final wearing course to a finished standard.
