Speeding Letterkenny driver tests positive for cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine

The vehicle was stopped and the driver tested positive for cocaine, cannabis, and amphetamine and was arrested and brought to Letterkenny Garda Station where a blood sample was obtained

Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit were operating a speed check in the Letterkenny area this morning when they detected a vehicle travelling over the speed limit.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver tested positive for cocaine, cannabis, and amphetamine. They were arrested and brought to Letterkenny Garda Station where a blood sample was obtained. The blood sample will be sent for analysis and a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice will be issued for the speeding offence.

"Never ever drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs," An Garda Siochana warned. "Slow down."
