A woman who fell received first aid treatment, was placed in a stretcher and brought to the car park where there was an awaiting ambulance
Killybegs Coast Guard were tasked with two call-outs on Monday.
Firstly, to assist a fallen hill walker up Slieve League, who sustained a lower leg injury. The casualty received first aid treatment, she was placed in a stretcher and brought to the car park where there was an awaiting ambulance.
“We wish her a speedy recovery and many thanks to our colleagues National Ambulance Service (NAS),” Killybegs Coast Guard posted.
Then, a young cyclist fell off their bike and sustained a head injury in a remote area outside Ardara. The coast guard assisted the National Ambulance Service and the crew of Rescue 118. The casualty was transported to hospital via helicopter, and a message wishing for a speedy recovery was also passed on.
