Niamh Shevlin will be interviewed live on stage with Daithí Ó Sé first this evening on the second night of the Rose of Tralee International Festival.
The Glenswilly native will lead out the live television coverage on RTE One and RTÉ Player from 8pm, as Kathryn Thomas and Ó Se will return to co-host the annual competition. Eighteen of the hopefuls were on stage last night with the remaining 14 this evening, with the Donegal Rose the first of them.
Niamh won the Donegal Rose selection, in association with R McCullagh Jewellers, at the Central Hotel, Donegal Town, to confirm her participation. The daughter of Mick and Geralyn from Bomany, Niamh, a qualified primary teacher, is an accomplished Irish dancer alongside her twin Gavin and has previously taken part in Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance.
