Weather conditions proved troublesome but didn’t hamper a record attempt held in Rossnowlagh.

The first-ever Family Friendly Kindercounties festival had a wet weekend yet raised €715 for Liquid Therapy in their sponsored surf where they broke the record for the most waves caught in an hour with 816 waves.



In total 51 Rossnowlagh Surf Club members of the club took part in the challenge, braving the elements and afterwards Gavin McCrea and members of Rossnowlagh Surf Club presented a cheque for €715 to Tom Losey of Liquid Therapy.

Liquid Therapy is a multi-award-winning charity that provides inclusive and adaptive surf therapy programmes, which are beneficial for physical and mental health. Their mission is that the mental health and well-being benefits of the Ocean and surfing are available to all.
