Planning permission has been granted for 49 houses at Ballymacool, Letterkenny on condition that they be used for permanent homes and not holiday homes.
This was one of 22 conditions relating to granting of the application by O’Connor Burke Architecture Ltd, Derry, on behalf of Phil Boyle. Other conditions include putting all infrastructure prior to construction; the planting of native trees and hedges; hooded street lighting with LED bulbs; plans for waste disposal via the public sewer; landscaped public spaces and communal gardens; and the provision of footpaths and cycleways.
The developer must pay a contribution of €97,744.71 in total, equal to €1,994.79 for each of the 49 properties, towards public infrastructure and facilities benefiting development in the area.
Hours of construction shall be between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 3pm on Saturday. Vehicles associated with the construction of this development are not permitted to park in the existing adjoining residential development, nor to obstruct driveways, footpaths or amenity areas.
The development consists of the construction of 18 four-bedroom semi detached houses, 30 three-bedroom semi-detached houses, and a single three-bedroom detached house.
