Man arrested and charged following fatal road crash at Inver

A man has been arrested and charged following a fatal crash in south Donegal on Sunday.

A woman in her eighties died on Wednesday at Sligo University Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a road traffic collision at Inver.

Elizabeth Cave, née Coburn, of St Ernan’s, Donegal Town passed away on Wednesday. She was one of three people injured in the collision which took place on the N56 at Inver Glebe shortly before 9am on Sunday.

A man in his 50s has been arrested and charged by Gardaí and is due to appear before Letterkenny District Court on Thursday morning, August 29, at 10.30am.

A man in his fifties and a woman in her forties were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of their injuries which are believed to be non life-threatening.
