Spots from Galway, Dublin, Killarney and Donegal came out on top of the rankings
Ireland has no shortage of luxurious hotels, but not all of them allow you to bring your furry friends with you.
Betway has ranked a top six of the most popular dog-friendly hotels across the country - and two from Donegal have made the shortlist. Ballintra’s Lough Mardal Lodge and the Highlands Hotel in Glenties ended up inseparable, in joint-fifth place.

Measuring popularity by a unique index score - generated by the number of hashtags each location has racked up on Instagram, as well as Google and Tripadvisor reviews - with the lower the overall index score the higher the ranking - spots from Galway, Dublin, Killarney and Donegal came out on top of the rankings.
Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate, situated in the heart of Galway, is a 5-star hotel that takes pride in its luxurious features - also acting as a venue for numerous wedding ceremonies. They rank first in the table with an index score of six. In second spot is The Westin in Dublin. In third place is The Conrad Hotel in Dublin, which is another 5-star hotel and racked up an index score of nine.
The Randles Hotel and The Dromhall Hotel - both in Killarney - claim joint fourth position, whilst Lough Mardal Lodge and the Highlands Hotel round out the top five in joint fifth place.
