The Donegal Railway Heritage Museum is trying to identify a mystery railway artefact.
It was donated to the museum many years ago and they have taken it to Facebook in hopes of finding out what it’s use is.
Their post asks: “Do you know what this is? This outdoor Donegal railway artefact came from McHugh's Crossing Cottage, Laghey and was donated to our Museum many years ago, but we are still debating what is it for.
"Might a lamp have sat behind it on one side, which was visible when the screen was turned one way but not another? Any suggestions welcome.”
