DLDC (Donegal Local Development Clg) has held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), during which several long-serving directors, including Chairperson Patsy McGonagle, stepped down from the Board.

Patsy, who served as Chair for six years, guided DLDC through significant transformation, including opening two new offices and developing a new strategic plan to enhance community impact and support. Patsy, a renowned Irish athletics manager, brought his vision and passion to DLDC, ensuring its continued growth and success in the Donegal region.

Reflecting on his tenure, Patsy remarked: “It has been an honour to serve as Chair of DLDC and work alongside a dedicated team committed to making a real difference

for individuals and communities in Donegal. I am proud of our progress, and I look forward to seeing the organisation’s continued growth and success. I wish the team and incoming Board every success in the future.”

In addition to Patsy McGonagle's departure, several other directors have also retired from the DLDC Board. These include Mary Harte (East Community); Máire Ui Chomhaill (Pobal Gaeltachta); Isobel McGlinchey (Trade Unions); Cllr Noel Jordan (DCC) and Michael Chance (IFA). These individuals have all played significant roles in shaping the direction and success of the organisation over the years.

Padraic Fingleton, CEO of DLDC, acknowledged the departing Directors, stating: “Patsy, Mary, Máire, Isobel, Noel and Michael have contributed immensely to DLDC.  We sincerely thank our retiring directors for their invaluable contributions and commitment to our organisation. They have been instrumental in shaping our success, and their influence will remain with us as we continue to grow. We wish them all the best for the future.
