Donegal entrepreneur Paddy Doherty has sought planning permission from Donegal County Council for works to the cottage, which is a protected structure.
He is seeking to demolish a non-original bedroom extension and to construct a new bedroom extension, utility/toilet. He is planning to construct a detached store and gazebo to the rear of the property at Ardmalin, Malin Head.
Renovation works in the plans include the provision of new windows, roof works and minor internal alterations.
Skildren has an open plan kitchen/sitting room with sliding patio doors and a dining room with large windows to the sea.
