The 100% Redress Party say Charles Ward 'understands that our county faces numerous challenges beyond the defective concrete crisis'
The 100% Redress Party has backed Charles Ward to become one of the five Donegal TDs at the next General Election.
With the Drumkeen native put forward, the party say it is committed to ensuring that Donegal people’s voices are heard loud and clear in Dublin. He is running in response to two schemes that have fallen short over the past decade and have not provided the end-to-end solutions that Donegal needs.
“We firmly believe that Charles Ward is the right candidate to represent the people of Donegal in Dublin,” they said. “Charles understands that our county faces numerous challenges beyond the defective concrete crisis.

“The overstretched health service, the worsening housing crisis, mental health concerns, education, agriculture and fisheries are all sectors under increasing pressure. We need stronger representation and support at a national level. Our debilitated infrastructure and lack of investment in the rural tourism sector further impedes local economic growth.
“Charles is committed to advocating for these crucial areas fully supported by The 100% Redress Party. Charles will address Donegal’s unique challenges with the urgency they deserve.
“Together, we can bring about the change our community needs. We urge everyone to join us on this journey to bring the much-needed voice of our community to the heart of government. Together we can ensure that our concerns are heard and acted upon.”
The 100% Redress Party says it is vital that Donegal elects likeminded TDs for the election, which is expected to take place before Christmas, although there is no confirmed date yet.
“We firmly believe that nobody should be left behind, it’s time to address the needs of all citizens,” they added.
“We fully endorse the People's Document which outlines critical reforms to bring about meaningful change. Real change will only happen if we elect five pro-redress TDs who are committed to making these changes a reality. We trust our electorate to make the right decision and we urge ordinary homeowners to come out in force and use their vote to put the people and their safety first.
“We commend the tireless efforts of all campaign groups that have worked diligently to address what is now a critical situation caused by defective materials in Donegal and other counties. It is their dedication to advocating for an end to this debacle that has been nothing short of heroic. We all have differing opinions but are united in our shared goal to achieve 100 per cent redress. We pledge to work in tandem with all groups to get our voices heard in Dublin.”
