Letterkenny trailer theft - gardaí seek dash-cam footage from dual carriageway

Gardaí appeal for information on theft of trailer

Gardaí are advising anyone who comes across a secondhand silver Mtec trailer for sale that it may be stolen.

They are appealing for dashcam footage which may assist in the investigation of the theft of the trailer from the Dry Arch roundabout area of Letterkenny.

The silver Mtec 10x5 trailer was stolen from Dromore, Letterkenny before 00.50am on Saturday, October 26. It has led light, mesh sides, a double axel and no registration plate.

Garda Sean Sweeney said: “The trailer was removed from the area by a white Transit van with a high roof that had no registration plates attached.

“We appeal to anybody who may have been in the area of the dual carriageway outbound or inbound between 00.30am and 1am with a dashcam to make the footage available to Gardaí.

“Dashcam footage is also sought from anybody who was in the general area of the Dry Arch Roundabout also between those times.

“If anybody has relevant information or should anybody come across a similar type of trailer for sale on a second hand basis, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074 9167100. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111.
