Donegal duo Peadar Mogan and Oisin Gallen pick up All-Star Awards

Peadar Mogan and Oisin Gallen have tonight picked up their 2024 PwC GAA/GPA All-Star Awards at the RDS in Dublin.

The duo helped Donegal to Ulster SFC success and a place in the All-Ireland semi-final, where they lost out to Galway 1-14 to 0-15, following on from their victory in the Allianz League Division 2 final.

The St Naul’s man was named at left-corner back, while the MacCumhaills sharpshooter was at full-forward.

Armagh topped the list with six awards, followed by Galway at five, Donegal came in next at two, while Tyrone and Louth complete the list with one each.  Armagh won Sam Maguire for the second time in their history, when they got the better of Galway in the final in July on a 1-11 to 0-13 scoreline.

Donegal and St Eunan's Ciaran Moore was nominated for Young Player of the Year award, alongside Galway defender Johnny McGrath, with Oisin Conaty of Armagh, man of the match in the All-Ireland final, winning the award. 

Paul Conroy of Galway was named Player of the Year. He edged out teammate John Maher and Armagh's All-Ireland winner Barry McCambridge 

The 2024 All-Star team is:
Goalkeeper: Niall Morgan - Tyrone.
Defenders: Johnny McGrath - Galway, Barry McCambridge - Armagh, Peadar Mogan - Donegal; Dylan McHugh - Galway, Aidan Forker - Armagh, Craig Lennon - Louth - First All-Star.
Midfielders: Paul Conroy - Galway, Ben Crealey - Armagh.
Forwards: Rían O’Neill - Armagh; John Maher - Galway; Oisín Conaty - Armagh; Rob Finnerty; Oisín Gallen; Conor Turbitt - Armagh.
