Kennedy picked up 273 first preferences and at the end of count four was on 292 votes
Claudia Kennedy has become the third person eliminated from the Donegal constituency in the general election count.
The Finn Valley College teacher, who is from Ardfarna, Bundoran, was representing Fianna Fáil and was the lowest candidate after four counts. Now, her surplus of 292 will be distributed between the remaining 17 in the race.
Kennedy picked up 273 first preferences and at the end of count four was on 292 votes. The combination of Vincent J Bradley and Arthur McGuinness's votes was 151, distributed following their round three elimination and Independent Niall McConnell picked up 38, Mary T Sweeney 16 and Charles Ward 16.
