General Election: Eamon McGee, Gerry McKeever and Frank O’Donnell eliminated

There have been seven counts in the Donegal constituency so far as counting continues at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny

General Election: Eamon McGee, Gerry McKeever and Frank O’Donnell eliminated

Votes being counted at the Aura Leisure Centre

Three further candidates have been eliminated from the race for seats in the Donegal constituency.

Eamon McGee, Gerry McKeever and Frank O’Donnell have all been eliminated. 

McGee of the Irish Freedom Party was eliminated on the seventh count at around 2.50pm.

His 422 votes will now be distributed.

Earlier, Letterkenny-based barber McKeever exited on the sixth count, bowing out with 378 votes.

O’Donnell, a former Chair of Fine Gael in Letterkenny who ran as an independent, was eliminated on the fifth count.

The counts of McGee are now in the process of being distributed.
