First class Donegal student takes top award at Trinity College

A Donegal student graduated from Trinity College Dublin last week with a First Class Honours Degree in Politics, Philosophy, Sociology and Economics. 

Evan Carron-Kee, from Killygordon, was also awarded the Harry Hartford Capstone Prize, the Sociology Dissertation Prize and the renowned Gold Medal Award. 

The medal - the most prestigious undergraduate award that Trinity has to offer - is only given to students who obtain an overall score of 75 per cent or higher in their final exams.

He was joined at his graduation by his proud parents, Nicola Kee and Donal Carron, and is now working with The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) in Dublin.

Evan is a former pupil of Dromore National School, Killygordon, and St Columba’s College, Stranorlar.
