A father and son have appeared in court charged with assaulting two bouncers while attending an event at a Donegal hotel.
Liam and William Ward appeared at Donegal Circuit Court where they pleaded guilty to the incidents on October 29, 2022.
Both have addresses at Orbeg in Donegal Town.
They are each charged with assaulting Sean Douglas and causing him harm, and with assaulting Marcin Manczykowski and causing him harm.
The offences are alleged to have taken place on October 29, 2022 at the Abbey Hotel in Donegal Town. The alleged victims were working as members of the security team in the hotel at the time.
The court was told that William Ward is aged 59 and has no previous convictions.
His son Liam also has no previous convictions.
The men spoke only to confirm their guilty pleas to Judge John Aylmer.
A probation and welfare report was requested for both men.
Judge Aylmer agreed and adjourned the cases for final sentencing to the next sitting of the circuit court.
