Volunteers helped deliver 180 dinners from Conwal Hall in Letterkenny on New Year's Day
The 19th Annual Christmas Day Dinner volunteers delivered 180 dinners around Donegal on New Year’s Day.
This followed on from Christmas Day, when 112 volunteers were working from Conwal Hall in Letterkenny, delivering dinners around the county, as well as hosting a sitdown meal.
The Annual Christmas Day Dinner helps to break through isolation and loneliness on Christmas Day and provides meals on New Year’s Day.

“What an achievement,” organiser Kathy O’Connor posted. “Thank you to each and every volunteer that helped out this year to make both Christmas Day and New Year's Day such a success. Thanks to the Chamber of Commerce, the Church of Ireland for the use of their hall, Dom's Pier 1 in Donegal town and chefs Simon and Rob for the dinners, soup and desserts. Happy New Year to all.”
